Description:
Discusses prosocial behavior, what it is and what influences it, describes how to teach children essential social survival skills and how to create an environment that promotes caring behaviors.
Learning Outcomes:
Be able to:
1. Discuss how the four main developmental areas affect prosocial behavior
2. Describe the key differences in the three discipline styles
3. Discuss how you would instruct a child in each of the 7 survival skills
4. Identify the two keys to promoting prosocial behavior
5. Describe how you would promote each of the four caring behaviors discussed
