Explores the anatomy and development of the brain, its function, windows of opportunity for learning and environmental influences.
Learning Outcomes:
Be able to:
1. Identify parts of a neuron and the actions they perform.
2. Identify reasons for unhealthy prenatal brain development.
3. Describe the process of myelinization and it’s importance.
4. Explain windows of opportunity and their implications.
5. Describe the impact of several environmental issues in the developing brain.
