ClassesOnline4U is a Washington State training organization with State approved trainers (Currently: Jamie Lee Baskin, Lisa Torgerson, Michele Silence, Cheryl Watson, Andrew Ballard. Pending approval: Erika Krull). To receive credit for completed ClassesOnline4U training, you must have a STARS ID number and Managed Education and Registry Information Tool (MERIT) account. ClassesOnline4U offers a CDA course that provides the 120 hours required to obtain your national CDA credential. All of our classes include the IACET CEU logo and can thus also be used for your CDA Renewal. This requirement is 4.5 CEUs or 45 clock hours. All classes are measured in clock hours and are worth .1 CEU per clock hour.

CDA and College Credit: Community and technical colleges of Washington State agree to grant a minimum of 9 credits toward a certificate or degree in Early Childhood Education for students who hold a current Child Development Associate certificate and who are enrolled in an accredited Early Childhood Education program, in an institution of higher education.

Individuals applying for college credit may have received their 120 hours of instruction from any source approved by the CDA’s Council for Professional Recognition including community based organizations(e.g. ClassesOnline4U). Individuals must complete the CDA assessment process of portfolio approval, site visit / observation, and examination in order to obtain the CDA certificate recognized by institutions of higher education. CDA certificates are valid for just three years after being issued, unless the individual has enrolled in / completed a credit baring ECE course.

Community and technical colleges may charge local college transcription fees for students given credit under this agreement.
